Tennessee Is Being Redrawn. I’m Not Backing Down.

I launched this campaign in April of last year. For over 400 days, I’ve been on the road, driving this district, meeting you where you are, and listening to what actually matters.

Early voting for the primary starts July 17.

But on May 5, just 73 days before the first ballot is cast, Tennessee Republicans are calling a special session to redraw the map.

Think about that.

The qualifying deadline has passed. The candidates are set. The engines are running. Changing the rules of the race while the cars are already on the track isn’t “governance”—it’s a heist.

Call it what it is: Blatant, intentional, unapologetic gerrymandering.

Tennessee is already split, 8 Republican seats and 1 Democratic seat. In 2022, the state GOP carved up Nashville to dilute your voice and lock in their advantage. Now, they want to go further. They are pushing for a 9–0 sweep, not because the voters demanded it, but because they are terrified of a fair fight.

Governor Bill Lee has called the session. Senator Marsha Blackburn has openly pushed for it. They want to choose their voters so they never have to answer to them.

Here’s the part they didn’t plan for: I’ve already been showing up.

I’ve spent the last year in all 19 counties of this district. I’ve sat in the diners, walked the main streets, and listened to the people.

Not one person said we need another round of redistricting.
They talked about healthcare costs.
They talked about wages and the price of groceries.

They talked about roads, schools, and just trying to get by.

This map isn’t being designed to serve your needs. It’s being designed to protect their power.

They think they can move lines on paper to make themselves “safe.”

They think they can stack the deck and we’ll just fold. You can redraw a map; you can’t redraw the truth.

I represent all 19 counties in Tennessee’s 6th District. And I am going to represent this district, whatever it looks like when they’re done carving it up.

They are drawing lines on a map. We are drawing a line in the sand.

This campaign isn’t about power. It’s about people. And we are going to win.
