Earlier this morning, an ICE agent in Minneapolis shot a 37-year-old woman while she was sitting in her car, later killing her in the hospital. This latest act of aggression by the Trump administration follows a pattern of brutality that has been waged against the American people this past year, all under the guise of ‘immigration enforcement.’ From local protests in Minnesota to citizens coast-to-coast, we are united in condemning this killing and demanding immediate accountability for this unwarranted loss of life.

What we are witnessing are the heinous consequences of allowing a federal agency to operate like an unregulated private army, accountable to no one but the executive branch. If our federal government remains complicit in the killing of citizens in broad daylight, then it is our duty to remove those responsible from power and restore the rule of law to prevent such tragedies from ever happening again.
